When you notice that an item on an order is out of stock, you have the ability to create a purchase order directly from QuoteMachine. Doing so is simple, and only requires a couple of steps.

When an item is out of stock, QuoteMachine will show that none of the items are reserved. If you want to create a purchase order on the spot, the only thing you have to do is click ''Create Purchase Order''.

After clicking that button, a pop-up will appear where you can select what item(s) you want to put on the purchase order. Once you've selected everything you need, you can click the green ''Create purchase order'' button which will redirect you to Lightspeed.

Then, in Lightspeed, you can finish the purchase order. If you're not familiar with how to receive a purchase order in Lightspeed, please refer to this article.

Once you've received the items from the purchase order and registered them in Lightspeed, you will see that the order in QuoteMachine automatically gets updated. It will show that the items have been received, and you will also see that QuoteMachine automatically reserves the items. This means we take them out of your inventory until you decide to invoice or cancel the order.
