QuoteMachine allows you to set up your Quote templates so that your customers can pay multiple deposits on it, without you needing to edit the document.
This is useful if a customer wants to for example, split a deposit payment, or if a few different people want to pay towards the deposit for a group event.
The photo below shows an example of how the customer will see the payment section in the document.
To activate this feature, you simply need to edit the template to allow multiple deposit payments. In the document template, edit the payment section.
Then, make sure to check off the partial payment option.
Please note that after updating a document template, this will only be reflected in new document proposals that use this template. Existing documents will not reflect these updates!
You can re-generate/refresh a new proposal using the updated template by doing the following:
Open the document
Click on the 3 dots
Click edit
Click edit design
Click change template and select another template
Click change template again and change it back to the original template if desired
This will re-generate the proposal (the proposal will be re-generated using your most current template)
Allow partial payments on individual documents
If you want to allow for partial payments for specific documents, please do the following steps:
Open the existing document you would like to allow partial payments for
Click on the three dots and then click edit
Click edit design
On the payment section of the document, click the three dots and then click edit
In the modal, be sure to check off the option for allow to edit payment amount for partial payment
Click save
Click close edit mode
Your document is now ready to receive payments either in full or in partial payments!
