Lightspeed Retail cannot manage fractional quantities. This is problematic when selling products by measurement, or even billing labour. To avoid having 'rounding adjustments' on your Lightspeed Retail transactions, follow these steps.

Start by creating a non-inventory item in Lightspeed.

Now, in your QuoteMachine catalogue, set the unit of measure of this item to 'Hours & Minutes'.

Now, when creating an invoice with this item on it, you'll notice you have the option to enter in hours and minutes separately.

Complete the invoice, and on the lightspeed transaction you will notice that Lightspeed has properly recorded the hours and minutes you entered in.
