You can import contacts via a csv file or import products via a csv file following the basic import template, but we also have a feature that allows the two systems to communicate between each others in order to import contacts or products from Lightspeed to QuoteMachine.
Import Customers
In order to import your customers from Lightspeed to QuoteMachine, even if it's just to include new customers you've recently added in your LS system or for the first time, you always go to the same place.
First of all, on the main menu on the left, click on "Contacts".
This will take you to the QuoteMachine Contacts page. At the top right of your screen, just below your name, you should see several buttons. Click "Import".
Once you clicked on "Import", now hit the "Start new import" button.
This will open a small window that will allow you to import contacts from your Lightspeed integration. In the screenshot below, my QM demo account is integrated with Lightspeed X-Series, but it also works with Lightspeed E-Series and Lightspeed R-Series. When you are ready, click on "Start" so you can launch the import.
When the import is in progress, the status will be "running".
Once the import is successfully done, the status will change to “completed” and you will see the number of items imported and the duration.
Import Products
For products, the way to access the Import functionality is similar to that through the Contacts section.
Basically, you have to click on "Catalog" from the main menu on the left. Once you are in the Catalog, you will see the buttons just below your name and you have to click on "Import".
After your click, the system will go to the Import function options and select “Start a new import”.
Here you go, the import has started and you can follow the progress on this page.
Depending on which Lightspeed product you're integrated with, it's a little different.
Import products via Lightspeed X-Series
On Lightspeed Vend, you have only one option, which is to import all products from LS to QM.
Import products via Lightspeed R-Series
With Lightspeed Retail, you can decide to import all products or only the most recently added products. So you just have to choose the option that suits you best.
Import products via Lightspeed E-Series
Same as Lightspeed Vend, on Lightspeed eCom you have only one option, which is to import all products from LS to QM, so you can't go wrong!
